For many Monday it’s the start of a working week or start of a new diet, exercise regime or any other important changes. Some times I think of Monday as if it’s the first day of a New Year. How many times did you hear someone from your family or friends say “I will start from Monday?” And maybe you said it yourself?! I said this many times, out loud or in my mind. And on many Mondays, I said “well, let’s start from tomorrow!”

What ever you are planning to start from Monday, it’s going to be difficult, like on any other day. Changes are difficult, sometimes painful, but they can also be necessary so things can get better and you can be happier.

If you are ready for a change or you want a change, start planning.

First set yourself a goal. Second, think about the time frame to achieve your goal.

For example, if you are planning to lose weight, set yourself time frame for achieving your goal. If you need six months it will be good to check on your progress in the end of each month. Seeing your great results will give you boost of extra motivation and with everyday your goal will feel easier to achieve.

If you are planning to stop smoking, do the same thing. Start to celebrate not smoking for one day, then two days, three days and before you know it, it’ll become a habit and you won’t even want another cigarette ever again.

If you are learning a new academic or physical skill, don’t give up. Keep trying, because in the end that’s all we can do to succeed.


So if you’re planning to change something in your life, it doesn’t necessarily have to be from/ on Monday.

It can be any day, any time, you just need to be ready, focus and always motivated.


There are no long roads, sometimes it’ll just take more steps to get to the end.
