White Cliffs of Dover

I love last minute spontaneous trips. One day trip it is enough to realize how beautiful is around us or to discover new places and get new experience. The White Cliffs of Dover are  part of the North Downs formation, is the name given to the region of English coastline facing the Strait of Dover and France. The cliff face, which reaches a height of 350 feet, owes its striking appearance to its composition of chalk accented by streaks of black flint.

Open space, amazing views and historical value of this place makes it great one day trip idea.

There is lots of parking space, if you are coming by car and fantastic coffee shops. One is situated next to the main car park and second one is in the Light House to which you can get taking one of the walking paths. Little map is provided while entering the car park. Both coffee shops serve delicious home made cakes, sandwiches and more. There is a gift shop with nice and useful things and outside of the main building you will find little tent with second hands books and honesty box.

Great place for everyone to visit and we will be going back 🙂

Travel means for me more then just visiting new places.

It is giving me the feeling of freedom, independence and happiness!
